About Us >
The purpose of New Era Track Club is to provide boys and girls from
the New Orleans Metropolitan area access to major track and field
events throughout the nation at a minimum cost.  The club focuses on
positive self-esteem while exposing each member to character
building experiences.  It is a school – without – walls concept that
uses track and field as a basis to advance its students to be
successful and productive citizens. Our Club employs the “Four Wide
Goals” Objectives as developed by John Dewey, one of the most
eminent educational scholars.  These objectives are:
1)  Self – Realization
2)  Socialization
3)  Civic Responsibility
4)  Economic – Efficiency
The student – athletes use track and field as a mode to achieve these
objectives.
